Central Lombok (National Archipelagic Wire) - InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is strengthening the development of sport tourism in the Special Economic Zone (KEK) by providing facilities in The Mandalika area as an arena for four sports at the XII West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Sports Week (Porprov), 16-26 July 2026.

"This support is part of ITDC's efforts to optimize the use of The Mandalika area as a sports tourism area that is active throughout the year while providing real benefits for the community and region," said General Manager of The Mandalika Pari Wijaya in Central Lombok, Sunday.

In implementing Porprov XII NTB 2026, ITDC provides a number of regional facilities to support the smooth implementation of four sports.

The Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit VIP Deluxe Parking Area is used as an arena for roller skating sports. Kuta Beach Park The Mandalika Beach Volleyball Court is the location for beach volleyball competitions.

Batu Kotak, Tanjung Aan is the arena for triathlon sports, while the aerosport parachuting event uses the Mandalika Airstrip area as a landing point.

"Support for the implementation of the NTB Porprov is part of our commitment to presenting an area that is able to provide sustainable benefits, not only as a location for holding international activities, but also as a space for developing national and regional sports," he said.

"We are developing The Mandalika as an area that is able to support various sports activities throughout the year," he said.

Through support for the implementation of the NTB Porprov, the party wants to strengthen the role of The Mandalika as an active and competitive sports tourism area, while also providing space for coaching athletes and developing various sports in West Nusa Tenggara.

Furthermore, Pari explained that holding various sports in the Mandalika area also provides momentum to continue building a sports tourism ecosystem that is integrated with the tourism, entertainment and culture sectors.

"The presence of athletes, officials, supporters and the community who take part in various series of activities is expected to help stimulate economic activity in the community and strengthen the attractiveness of the area as a destination for various sporting activities," he said.
