Fragmentary of Jero Luh Duta Badung Pukau PKB Stage XLVIII

Denpasar (National Archipelagic Wire) - The Badung Regency Arts Ambassador stole the attention of the Bali Arts Festival XLVIII audience through the Gong Kebyar Adult parade performance which presented a local fragmentary entitled Jero Luh.

"For the pragmentary, we chose a local area, namely in Mengwi Village, specifically Sunan Jero Luh, where Sunan Jero Luh has a history of taking place in Puri Abiansemal," said Composer I Made Adi Suyoga Adnyana, Wednesday (8/7/2026).

The traditional art performance presented by the Baturenggong Mengwi Arts Community was held at the Ardha Candra Open Stage, Bali Provincial Cultural Park, Denpasar.

The creation of this work, which highlights the sacred historical value of the Rangda tapel at Pura Dalem Mengwi, involved intensive preparation and training for six months.

"We have been preparing since January until now, so it has taken approximately 6 months," said Adnyana, adding regarding the creative process for the duration of the show.

Apart from the Jero Luh fragmentary, the Badung contingent also presented two other superior artistic materials in the form of the Lima Lawas Tabuh and the Masepuh Creation Dance.

It is hoped that the Badung Regency Government will continue to expand creative space for the cultivation of young composers and choreographers in order to hone the potential of local regional geniuses in a sustainable manner.
