BUMN PT Indonesian Tourism Development (Persero) or ITDC revealed that the Urban Fun Run running event has not yet received official permission from the organizers.
"Until now we have not received applications for area use or rental applications from the organizers," said General Manager of ITDC The Nusa Dua I Made Agus Dwiatmika in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Wednesday.
Under these conditions, his party emphasized that there was no collaboration, involvement or organizing relationship with the running event which is currently widely circulating on social media.
He explained that all activities held in tourism areas must go through a number of official licensing and approval mechanisms to ensure security, comfort, safety and smooth operations.
The party will take legal action if it is discovered that the name or area has been used without official approval to protect the interests of the area, partners and the community.
He appealed to the public to ensure information regarding the implementation of the agenda, one of which is through the official BUMN channel.
"We maintain the region's credibility as a world-class tourism destination that is managed professionally, safely and reliably," he said.
Meanwhile, information has been widely circulated on social media regarding a running event taking place in Nusa Dua.
According to information on social media, the competition is planned to be held on August 9 2026 with a five kilometer running category.
Through the running event's Instagram social media channel, a number of residents have expressed comments that they have registered and paid.
