You can watch the Mandalika MotoGP while camping in a campervan, prices start at IDR 750 thousand

Want to watch the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP and experience the sensation of staying near the racing area? There is a new choice for travelers. InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has prepared an official camping ground in The Mandalika area, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The camping ground has been prepared as an alternative accommodation for visitors who come to watch the Grand Prix of Indonesia or the Mandalika MotoGP on 9-11 October 2026. The camping ground prepared by ITDC in collaboration with PT Shekhara Sekawan Sejahtera as the operator will start operating on 8 October 2026.

Chairman of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 and ITDC Operations Director Troy Warokka said the presence of a camping ground does not just increase the choice of places to stay. This concept is also intended to provide a different experience during the race weekend.

"The presence of the official camping ground is not just an alternative accommodation, but offers a different experience to enjoy the MotoGP atmosphere as well as The Mandalika area. We want every visitor who comes to get a more complete experience while they are here," said Troy to the media crew, Saturday (5/9/2026).

He explained that the presence of this camping ground was an increase in accommodation capacity, as well as strengthening connectivity, was part of the comprehensive preparations for the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP. He said that the preparations were not only about the circuit but also the supporting ecosystem which had an impact on the comfort and experience of visitors while in Mandalika.

"We want people to come to The Mandalika not only to watch the race, but also to enjoy the destination and all the experiences around it," he stressed.

Meanwhile, the Main Director of PT Shekhara Sekawan Sejahtera, Dian Nugroho, said that the camping ground concept was prepared so that visitors would still have comfort while enjoying the 2026 Mandalika MotoGP series.

"We want to provide a comfortable and organized camping experience for MotoGP. Therefore, we have prepared several accommodation options with different characters," he said.

Dian explained that in this camping ground, the party offers various accommodation models. Starting from glamping to campervans or mobile cars.

"This accommodation ranges from tents, glamping to campervans, which are supported by shared facilities to support visitors' needs while in the area," he said.
