Bali’s Top Attractions Spot Checked For Tourist Safety Ahead Of Holiday Season

With the island about to see a huge surge in holidaymaker arrivals, leaders have been conducting spot checks at top attractions to ensure everything is safe and ready for the school break.

Indonesia’s Deputy Tourism Minister, Ni Luh Puspa, visited top attractions in Bali over the last few days to ensure everything is ready for a surge in arrivals.

The Deputy Minister visited Bali’s world-famous Waterbom Bali in Kuta to ensure that the attraction was operating optimally in terms of safety, comfort, service quality, and visitor management.

Of course, Waterbom Bali is a world-class, multi-award-winning, and internationally acclaimed tourist destination; it received the full seal of approval from the Ministry of Tourism.

Speaking to reporters, Ni Luh Puspa explained: “This visit is our way of seeing firsthand how prepared tourist destinations, particularly Bali, are for the upcoming school holidays.”

She noted that the long school holidays not only present an opportunity to boost tourist visits to top cultural and entertainment attractions but also challenge destination managers to improve service and safety standards across the board.

She shared that the government is encouraging all tourist destinations nationwide, but especially in Bali, to ensure their attractions can accommodate the increased number of visitors without compromising service quality.

Ni Luh Puspa explained that one of the Ministry of Tourism’s primary concerns is the implementation of visitor capacity management.

Overcrowding, which leads to stressful, unsatisfactory, and, in some cases, dangerous visits, must be avoided at all costs.

With Bali still welcoming a steady increase in tourist arrivals, despite fears that the conflict in the Middle East would cause numbers to drop, this shows that the tourism sector across the islands needs to keep up its game.

She noted that regulating tourist numbers is crucial to maintaining comfort, avoiding overcrowding, and ensuring that supporting facilities remain optimally utilized by visitors.

All this is not a concern for Waterbom Bali. As experienced veterans in the tourism space, the water park is ready and excited to welcome this year’s influx of tourists for some real fun in the sun in Kuta.

Speaking to reporters, Waterbom Bali CEO Sayan Gulino explained that his teams have made a range of preparations ahead of the high season, including increased supervision of all rides and supporting facilities.

He confirmed that routine inspections are conducted to ensure all facilities operate according to safety standards.

It is not only Bali’s top attractions that are set to be busy this high season, but the island’s beaches and public spaces too.

The Manager of Sanur Beach Tourist Attraction from the Intaran Regional Government Agency (BUPDA), I Wayan Agus Bhara Dhiva, spoke to reporters that his teams are focusing on improving tourist mobility in the Sanur resort area to help keep tourists moving easily throughout their vacation.

He confirmed that more staff will be on duty across Sanur’s most popular beaches, including Segara Beach, Sindu Beach, Karang Beach, Semawang Beach, Cemara Beach, and Mertasari Beach.

Tourists visiting Sanur during the high season are advised to make the most of the new electric shuttle bus service that is on offer, with a route operating throughout the Sanur resort area.
