It begins with tired, ash-caked feet being submerged into steaming wooden barrels filled with volcanic mineral salts, wild mint, ginger, and sulfur-rich mountain spring water. Master reflexologists then apply targeted trigger-point acupressure along the calves, achilles tendons, and plantar fascia, releasing lactic acid buildup and soothing muscular inflammation. A full-body back and shoulder massage follows, utilizing cold-pressed mountain cajeput oil and warm volcanic basalt pebbles to loosen shoulders stiffened by alpine winds.
