The sanctuary's celebrated ritual centers around the wood-fired Kupang bark steam bath, where wild jungle bark and curative herbs are simmered in cast-iron cauldrons beneath slatted timber chambers, enveloping weary travelers in warm, botanical vapor that purges travel fatigue and opens respiratory pathways. Following the steam immersion, master practitioners administer deep Dayak tendon bodywork (urut Dayak) utilizing warm balms rendered from Akar Bajakah—the mystical liana vine revered for its potent restorative compounds—and cold-pressed illipe nut butter.
