Bandung City (National Archipelagic Wire) - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney Airports noted that as many as six airlines have submitted applications to open routes using jet aircraft from Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung City, in line with plans to re-optimize the airport's operations.

Corporate Secretary Group Head InJourney Airports Arie Ahsanurrohim in a press release received in Bandung, Monday, said that the airline's response to the plan to re-operate Husein Sastranegara Airport was quite positive.

"To date, six airlines have submitted official applications to operate," said Arie.

The six airlines that have submitted requests for operation are Citilink with planned routes to Kualanamu, Denpasar and Surabaya, Super Air Jet with routes to Kualanamu, Denpasar, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Batam, Padang, Balikpapan and Pontianak.

Apart from that, Garuda Indonesia is proposing a route to Denpasar, TransNusa serves international routes to Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru as well as domestic routes to Lampung, Scoot to Singapore, and Wings Air with routes to Lampung and Palembang.

Arie said, after a request from the airline, InJourney Airports will arrange the availability of flight slot times so that all requests can be accommodated according to the capacity of Husein Sastranegara Airport.

"We hope that Husein Sastranegara Airport's flight connectivity can fully support economic and tourism growth in West Java and Bandung City in particular," he said.

Editorial Perspective & Traveler Logistics

For international travelers navigating Seminyak and wider regional circuits across Indonesia, staying abreast of operational changes, localized protocols, and seasonal infrastructure developments remains vital. Whether planning overland transit corridors, reserving boutique accommodations, or arranging verified island expeditions, guests are advised to confirm logistics through official regional portals and licensed operators.
