Denpasar, Bali (National Archipelagic Wire) - The Bali Province Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office is giving discounts to Trans Metro Dewata public transportation passengers during August 2026 to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence and the 68th Anniversary of Bali Province.
"The public can enjoy a special rate of IDR 1,000 for travel using QRIS Tap," said Head of BI Bali Representative Achris Sarwani in Denpasar, Bali, Saturday.
The normal fare for public mass transportation passengers is IDR 4,400 for one trip so the fare discount reaches IDR 3,400.
This program, held in collaboration with the Bali Provincial Transportation Service, can also be enjoyed by passengers using the Trans Sarbagita bus.
The special tariff program applies to 300 users per day, consisting of 250 Trans Metro Dewata users and 50 Trans Sarbagita users.
The program is also expected to be part of a campaign to utilize the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard or QRIS digital transactions, especially the Tap or no scan feature.
The Trans Metro Dewata serves six corridors, namely the first corridor connecting the Kuta Parking Center-Pesisian Terminal, the second the Ubung Terminal-Domestic Arrivals Stop at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, the third the Ubung Terminal-Bali Mall Icon.
Furthermore, corridor four will connect the Ubung Terminal-Monkey Forest Parking Center, the fifth Kuta Parking Center-Bali State Polytechnic, and the sixth corridor Kuta Parking Center-Nussa Dua Parking Center, and all six are return routes.
