The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the number of foreign tourists from the European region who vacationed on the Island of the Gods increased by 47.12 percent on a monthly basis in July 2026. This increase occurred in line with the summer holiday period in Europe.

Head of BPS for Bali Province, Agus Gede Hendrayana Hermawan, revealed that visits by foreign tourists from Europe in July 2026 would reach 200,182 people. According to him, the third quarter of 2026 will also show an increasing trend in foreign tourist visits to Bali.

"The arrival of foreign tourists holding passports from the European region increased by 47.12 percent in July 2026, dominated by the increase in the arrival of foreign tourists holding Dutch and French passports," said Agus at a press conference in Denpasar, Tuesday (1/9/2026).

"It's summer there. Indeed, the peak is always in the third quarter because when there is the holiday season there. The number of foreign tourists who come tends to increase," he added.

Overall, Agus continued, the number of foreign tourists visiting Bali in July 2026 will reach 697,809 people. This figure has increased by 15.34 percent compared to foreign tourist visits in June 2026.

Agus said that most foreign tourists came through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, namely 697,800 visits or an increase of 15.35 percent compared to June 2026 which reached 604,962 visits.

Meanwhile, visits via the sea gate covering Benoa Harbor, Padangbai and Celukan Bawang were recorded at only 9 visits. This number decreased by 82.35 percent compared to June 2026 which reached 51 visits.

Apart from Europe, the increase in visits also occurred among foreign tourists from the Oceania region, which reached 195,481 people or an increase of 12.40 percent. Then from the Asian region it reached 182,326 visits or an increase of 7.78 percent. However, tourist visits from the Southeast Asia region actually decreased by 17.01 percent to 55,248 visits.
