1,230 participants are ready to celebrate the mini sailboat race at the Lovina Festival in Buleleng

Buleleng, Bali (National Archipelagic Wire) - A total of 1,230 participants from various regions in the country are ready to enliven the mini sailboat race in a series of Lovina Festival events at the Lovina Tourist Attraction, Buleleng Regency, Bali.

"We continue to finalize preparations for holding the Lovina Festival, including the implementation of the Mini Sailboat Competition, which this year (2026) recorded a significant increase in the number of participants," said Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra while chairing the Lovina Festival consolidation meeting with the committee at Lovina Beach, Buleleng, Bali, Tuesday.

He said the number of participants in the Mini Sailboat Competition reached 1,230 people or almost double compared to the competition held on the anniversary of Singaraja City which was attended by 680 participants.

"The participants were extraordinary, almost doubled. Now 1,230 people are incredibly enthusiastic, especially those from Java, some from Banyuwangi who have registered," said Sutjidra.

According to him, the increasing number of participants shows the high level of public interest in the event and is also an indicator that the Lovina Festival is increasingly being recognized as one of the leading tourist agendas in Buleleng Regency.

Responding to the high level of interest, Sutjidra also asked the entire committee to ensure that all technical aspects are prepared optimally so that the competition runs smoothly and provides comfort for all participants.

He emphasized the importance of setting the implementation time according to wind conditions, determining a clear race track, and other technical coordination so that it does not cause obstacles as in previous events.

"I have emphasized to the committee to really prepare everything so that no one of the participants will complain later. For example, when there is wind, when the wind starts blowing, then when it starts, the track," he said.

As a form of appreciation for the high level of community participation, the Buleleng Regency Government also prepared special surprises for the participants in addition to the door prizes provided by the committee.

"Yes, later we will give them a surprise. They will get door prizes. So there will be a surprise from us. Because this is extraordinary. So this surprise is a form of our appreciation for the participants who took part in the competition," said Sutjidra.
