Badung Ambassadors Perform Spiritual Copulation on the PKB XLVIII Stage

Denpasar (National Archipelagic Wire) - The Tugek Carangsari Duta Art Studio Badung Regency presented a colossal performance entitled Sanggama Rohani which tells the history of the Tipat Pillow Tradition at the Bali Arts Festival XLVIII.

"Today is very special because we are presenting a tradition about Siat Tipat Pillow in the Kapal Traditional Village," said Choreographer Gusti Ngurah Gede Oka Wiratmaja, Friday (3/7/2026).

The art performance which was centered at the Ardha Candra Denpasar Open Stage raised the spiritual narrative of the restoration of Pura Sada by the legendary figure Patih Kebo Iwa.

This art performance involves as many as 150 local artists who combine elements of dance, dance drama and traditional Balinese music harmony.

"Tipat Pillow is a symbol of the meeting of purusa and pradana," said Wiratmaja, adding regarding the philosophical meaning of purification of the spirit and harmony of nature.

This magnificent performance was designed as a cultural educational medium to introduce the ancestral traditional heritage of Badung Regency to the wider community.

It is hoped that this annual event will be able to inspire the birth of new works of art that consistently maintain the spiritual values ​​and cultural identity of Bali.
