Buleleng, Bali (National Archipelagic Wire) - The Buleleng Regency Government is targeting 25 thousand tourist visits for the 2026 Lovina Festival which will take place on 24-28 July.

"In terms of readiness, today it is 100 percent. Everything is ready and we ask the committee together with the community to complete the arrangement of the venue so that the entire series of the Lovina Festival runs smoothly," said Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra during a press conference in Lovina, Buleleng Regency, Thursday.

According to the Regent, the Lovina Festival is not only a means of promoting leading tourist destinations in North Bali, but also a momentum to increase community economic activity through the tourism sector, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and the creative economy.

He explained that the public's high enthusiasm for the festival was reflected in the increasing number of participants in various activities, one of which was the mini sailboat race which was attended by 1,230 participants, including participants from outside Bali such as Banyuwangi, East Java.

"We believe this enthusiasm will have an impact on increasing hotel occupancy rates, tourist visits and the community's economic turnover during the festival," he said.

Meanwhile, Buleleng tourism figure Nyoman Arya Astawa or Mang Dauh said hotel occupancy rates in the Lovina area had increased since the festival was promoted.

"Even my friend couldn't book a hotel in the Lovina area because it was full. This shows the increase in tourist visits to Buleleng," he said.

Meanwhile, the person in charge of the 2026 Lovina Festival, Putu Ayu Reika Nurhaeni, said that the theme "Theatre of Dolphins" describes Lovina as a natural stage where dolphins live side by side with local society, culture and wisdom.

"This theme is a concept that depicts Lovina's magnificent natural stage, where dolphins live freely side by side with local people, culture and wisdom," he said.

He also explained that this year's Lovina Festival was entering its 12th year with a duration of five days, longer than the previous year. The additional duration is expected to increase the length of stay of tourists, thereby providing a greater economic impact for tourism businesses and the community.
