Tabanan (National Archipelagic Wire) - Representing the Regent of Tabanan I Komang Gede Sanjaya, the Deputy Regent of Tabanan, I Made Dirga, said that the 2026 Tanah Lot Festival which will be held at Wantilan DTW Tanah Lot, Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, has the spirit of preserving art, culture and tourism in the Tabanan Regency area.

Tanah Lot Art and Food Festival VII 2026 carries the theme "Samudra Sakti Raksanam Jagat Samyaya" which means maintaining the power of the ocean towards harmony and balance in the universe.

This festival is an important momentum in introducing and highlighting the arts, culture and tourism potential of Tabanan Regency.

Deputy Regent Made Dirga hopes that this activity can become a meeting place for various creative potentials of the community and tourists.

"Festival activities like this are not only part of the tourism agenda, but also have an important role in maintaining the existence of local arts and culture so that it continues to grow and develop in society," he said.

Festivals like this are not just about entertainment, but how to maintain the art, culture and traditions that are owned.

"Tanah Lot has an extraordinary attraction, so we must use the existence of this festival to introduce the potential of Tabanan to the wider community," said Dirga.

According to Dirga, tourism development in Tabanan needs to go hand in hand with cultural preservation and community empowerment.

The existence of tourist destinations should not only provide benefits in terms of tourist visits, but also be able to open up space for artists, MSMEs, the creative economy and local communities to grow.

"Tourism must provide benefits to the community. When tourists come, of course what we hope is not only to enjoy natural and cultural beauty, but also economic movement of the community, MSMEs and creative economy actors. This is what we must continue to encourage together," added Dirga.
