"We will only serve Emirates aircraft using the Airbus A380-800 on August 8 2026 and there will be no regular flight schedules from then on," said Corporate Secretary Group Head InJourney Airports Arie Ahsanurrohim in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.
Arie said the flight was only for special needs to support an international activity, namely the Pre-Season Tour for the match between the Chelsea vs AC Milan football club which will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.
"Emirates flights with Airbus A380-800 to Soekarno-Hatta Airport are not carried out regularly and are only available on August 8 2026. There is no regular flight schedule for using this type of aircraft," explained Arie.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport has three runways to support operations.
General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Heru Karyadi said the three runways consist of two runways measuring 3,660 meters x 60 meters, and 1 runway measuring 3,600 meters x 60 meters.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport's airside infrastructure is equipped with a parallel network of taxiways, aprons and various flight support facilities, which meet the need for readiness to serve wide-body aircraft.
