The festival is a creative platform to boost MSMEs

Denpasar (National Archipelagic Wire) - The 2026 Sesetan Festival is a forum for the community, especially the younger generation, to develop creativity while encouraging the strengthening of local MSMEs.

Deputy Mayor of Denpasar I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa in Denpasar, Sunday, said that the Denpasar City Government expressed its appreciation for the implementation of the 2026 Sesetan Festival which was initiated through community collaboration.

According to him, the festival is not only a space for entertainment for the community, but can also be an opportunity to increase the creativity of the younger generation and strengthen the existence of local MSMEs.

"It is hoped that this Sesetan Festival event can become a venue for increasing the creativity of the younger generation, a forum for MSMEs to develop themselves as well as a space for networking, exchanging information and knowledge for the community through workshops and discussion forums for the youth of Sesetan and Denpasar City in particular," said Arya Wibawa.

Ceremonial Observance & Village Protocols

He emphasized that the Denpasar City Government supports various activities initiated by the community as an effort to build togetherness and encourage regional progress.

"The Denpasar City Government really supports the community in carrying out activities like this, united to develop forward in the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," he said.

Arya Wibawa hopes that this activity can continue to be developed and provide wider space for people to be creative, while also opening up opportunities for MSME players to introduce and develop their products.

Community Harmony & Heritage Preservation

Meanwhile, Chair of the 2026 Sesetan Festival Committee, I Made Widiartha, said the festival will take place from 15-17 August 2026.

He explained that the implementation of the festival was the result of collaboration between various elements of society in Sesetan Village. A number of activities have been prepared to enliven the festival.

The series of activities included leisure walks, various inter-banjar creativity competitions, community entertainment, as well as a competition to decorate the banjar gate between sekeha young people in Sesetan Village.
