Umanis Galungan, the Singaraja-Denpasar route is busy

The traffic flow on the Singaraja-Denpasar main route was busy during the Umanis Galungan holiday, this afternoon. The queue of vehicles moving from Buleleng to Denpasar appeared to be snaking in the Bedugul hill area.

according to regional travel authorities and bureau field correspondents, at around 13.00 WITA on Thursday (18/6/2026), traffic flow was blocked from the Puncak Wanagiri area to Pancasari Village, Sukasada District. The high volume of traffic means that two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles can only move slowly.

The density occurred as people's mobility increased, taking advantage of the Galungan holiday to travel or visit family. One road user, Putu Neli Agustini, admitted that he had to spend longer than usual to cross this route.

"Earlier when we entered the Wanagiri area, it was already crowded, vehicles were only moving slowly. The queue was quite long until we approached Pancasari," said Neli, Thursday.

Even though he was stuck in traffic, Neli considered that the condition was understandable because it coincided with the Galungan holiday. According to him, similar conditions often occur during holidays.

Another road user, Made Sena, is worth three money. He confirmed that traffic congestion had begun to be felt since entering the Puncak Wanagiri area.

"There are so many vehicles today. I want to go back to Denpasar," said Sena.

Sena said the traffic flow on this road section was denser because many residents visited tourist attractions around Lake Buyan and Lake Beratan. However, a number of police personnel were also at the location to reduce traffic congestion.
