We’re here for it! Here at Regional Travel Monitors, we love a good workout as much as all of you…But we also really love our post-workout smoothies.

Core Overview & Regional Developments

For real, though, what is the point of a workout if there is no edible reward at the end…no? Just us?!

Whether pumping iron in Canggu or resetting the nervous system in Ubud, there are as many post-workout refueling opportunities as there are fitness classes in Bali, and this is not to be taken lightly. It’s time to indulge!

One of the most famous post-workout refuelling cafes out there is Crate in Canggu. When this cafe burst onto the scene all those years ago, it was the talk of the town and became a fast favourite with surfers in particular, not least for its massive portion sizes.

Now in 2026, Crate is an icon of Canggu, and their menu still slaps! Top post-workout smoothie options fall into two categories: straight-up smoothies and protein smoothies. Invigor8 is a nourishing tropical refresher featuring strawberries, papaya, and pineapple. As for the protein smoothies, don’t sleep on the Bliss Bomb, which includes protein powder, blueberries, banana, yoghurt, and mixed nuts.

At Crate, the smoothie options just keep coming. Be sure to check out the smoothie bowl options, too. A firm favourite is Why So Cereal, which includes frozen banana, cacao, peanut butter, coconut granola, and coconut.

Operational Details & Local Coordination

Those who take fitness super seriously should rightly take nutrition super seriously, too. No one takes sports nutrition more seriously than Motion. With outlets in Canggu and Pererenan, and their very own Fitness Kitchen in Berawa, Motion Fitness Foods get nothing but rave reviews.

The base smoothies on the menu are top-notch, but it is superfood extras that really pique interest and boost flavour. Try out the Berry Smoothie with a scoop of macaroni for hormonal balance and an energy boost.

Or the Gainer Protein Shake with a scoop of creatine for a seriously impactful smoothie filled with muscle growth support and energy.

While fitness in Canggu is life, movement in Ubud takes a slightly gentler pace, but that doesn’t mean that the post-workout snacks need to be taken any less seriously. Whether doing back-to-back classes at The Yoga Barn (we love Garden Kafe) or heading home from an early morning run club get together, Ubud’s health food scene continues to thrive.

Traveler Perspectives & Corridor Insights

Of course, the ultra health concierge in Ubud heads to one of three places first and foremost, and that is Alchemy, Sayuri’s Healing Food, and Zest. Alchemy is Bali’s OG healthy cafe and has become a permanent feature in Canggu and Uluwatu, too. With freshly made smoothies great to grab-and-go, as well as juices, kombucha, and natural electrolyte drinks, Alchemy caters to everyone’s every need.

Sayuri’s Superfood Smoothies frankly have enough nutrition in them to last you a week! No joke! The Mega Protein features fresh spirulina, kale, mango, banana, coconut milk, vegan protein, and sea moss.

Fun fact: sea moss is touted as an essential superfood due to its high concentration of vitamins and minerals, all of which are vital for cellular rejuvenation and a healthy immune system.

If you find yourself working up a sweat in Uluwatu, don’t fret! There is a post-workout smoothie available around every corner. Here at Regional Travel Monitors, our top picks include the Biscoff Choc Banana Smoothie Bowl at Kynd Community (for a real treat!) and Warrior Fuel from Nourish. If you know you know!
