Potholes in the road cut off access for four-wheeled vehicles to Klotok Beach, Tojan Village, Klungkung District, Klungkung, Bali. Apart from that, local residents assess that road conditions that leave small gaps for motorbikes are potentially dangerous.

according to regional travel authorities and bureau field correspondents, Jalan Pantai Klotok is the main access for residents to the beach and access for TPS3R waste trucks in Gelgel Village. The condition is currently experiencing serious damage.

The small road connecting the two villages experienced damage to the irrigation canal. Namely, the steel frame does not appear to be strong enough to withstand the weight of passing vehicles.

Currently, the potholes on the road appear to be installed with danger warning signs by the Klungkung PUPRPKP Service. A resident of Gelgel Village, Wayan Rindiasih, who crosses the road every day to work, said the road had not been damaged for too long.

However, if left unchecked, the damage can spread to become even bigger. Apart from that, it could also potentially pose a danger to residents passing by at night.

"The road conditions are also dark at night. So we hope the government will immediately make improvements," explained Rindiasih according to regional travel authorities and bureau field correspondents, Sunday (12/6/2026).

So far, his party does not know whether any residents have had accidents on the damaged road. However, he heard that there were people who almost had accidents because they didn't know there was a hole.

"I heard that someone had fallen there," he explained.

As a result of this damage, residents using four-wheeled vehicles were forced to take another route. According to Rindiash, the route was quite difficult because it was further away.

"Especially for garbage trucks which have to cross this road every day," he explained.
