Pusuk Sembalun tourist park, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), is crowded with tourists during school holidays. Visitors are dominated by local tourists.

Based on regional observers's monitoring, the traffic flow on the Sembalun Tourism Road is busy, dominated by two-wheeled private vehicles. The parking area in the Pusuk Sembalun area also looked busy, causing traffic flow to become clogged.

"It's quite busy today, because it's the weekend and coincides with school holidays too. More local tourists are coming," said Rian Saputra, according to regional travel authorities and bureau field correspondents, one of the parking attendants at Pusuk Sembalun, Sunday (28/6/2026).

He admitted that he was overwhelmed with managing traffic flow because this road was the main road to the Sembalun Tourism Village. "This is the main road to Sembalun, that's why it's busy," explained Rian.

The cool atmosphere with exotic views is one of the reasons tourists visit the Pusuk Sembalun Tourist Park. Apart from that, this tourist attraction is also a rest area and resting place for visitors.

"Just taking a short break here, while enjoying the view too, it's really beautiful," said Putri Handayani (16), a tourist from Mataram.

He plans to visit several tourist attraction locations in Sembalun. Putri and her family came to Sembalun to fill the long school holidays.

"We have been planning to come here since before. To fill the long school holidays," said Putri.

Editorial Perspective & Traveler Logistics

For international travelers navigating Lombok and wider regional circuits across Indonesia, staying abreast of operational changes, localized protocols, and seasonal infrastructure developments remains vital. Whether planning overland transit corridors, reserving boutique accommodations, or arranging verified island expeditions, guests are advised to confirm logistics through official regional portals and licensed operators.
