Oesina Beach or Air Cina is a beautiful tourist spot with fine white sand. This tourist attraction is located in Lifuleo Village, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Oesina itself comes from the words Oe which means water and Sina which means China. This white sand beach can be reached in approximately one to two hours' drive from Kupang City to the west.
Tourists have to pay a short entry ticket of IDR 2 thousand per person and it is free for babies up to five years old. Meanwhile, vehicle parking rates are set at IDR 3,000 for motorbikes and IDR 5,000 for cars.
Upon arrival at the beach area, tourists will be greeted by a variety of culinary delights and drinks sold by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the surrounding community.
The management also provides a number of supporting facilities, such as a small lopo (like a gazebo) which can be rented for IDR 50,000 per use as well as tents for tourists who want to camp in the beach area.
Apart from enjoying the white sand and clear sea water, visitors can also see the activities of seaweed farmers around the coast. The results of seaweed cultivation are even sold directly to tourists as a typical regional product.
For families bringing children, this tourist area is also equipped with play facilities, such as slides and swings.
One local resident, Aron (27), said that Oesina Beach began to be managed by the village government through the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) since 2018. According to him, this destination is increasingly developing after being designated as a tourist village by the Kupang Regency Government in early 2025.
"This has existed since 2018 and is managed from the village through Bumdes. But since the Minister of Villages came, the District Government has made this a tourist village from January 2025," said Aron, who is a young man around this tourist attraction, Sunday (19/7/2026).
He said most of the facilities in the tourist area could be rented, so visitors who wanted to stay overnight could take advantage of them.
