The new song Nosstress is dedicated to children

Denpasar (National Archipelagic Wire) - Independent music group from Bali, Nosstress and musician Made Mawut launched a collaborative song and music video with children to commemorate National Children's Day.

"This song is entitled Selaras, it is related to National Children's Day, so the children sing it, this song is about children learning and also parents who have to learn more," said Nosstress Personnel Nyoman Angga Yudsitha in Denpasar, Thursday.

In the music video itself, Man Angga shows around 11 children singing while playing, they are on the beach, in the garden, and in the recording studio laughing at each other as if showing what is really hoped for: simplicity, togetherness, and harmony in life.

He said that this work took a long time to process, deliberately working on it slowly starting from the lyrics and music by Nosstress and Made Mawut, then asking the children to memorize the lyrics until they wanted to sing together.

From Nosstress itself, Selaras wants to be described as the antithesis, what children need is actually not in harmony or difficult to obtain.

Today's situation, where global problems and the Indonesian economy force parents to continue working hard, means that parents have less and less time for their children, and space for learning is often limited.

"Congruence is harmony, while there are many things that are not in harmony which ultimately makes our children victims, like parents whose lives are consumed and then don't have enough time to live with their children, even though for children, being in harmony doesn't require many things," he said.

Meanwhile, for local musician Made Mawut, this song was created to instill the values ​​of cooperation and equality in children.

On National Children's Day, he hopes that the state will be more present in facilitating children's growth and development in harmony, without the compulsion of competition, and in line with their basic rights.

Ngurah Termana, a parent of a child involved in the work, appreciated the idea. According to him, Selaras exists as a space to reflect, remember, as well as dialogue, that children and parents are both growing.
