Bali Tourists Need To Know About These 3 Websites Before Travelling

Regulatory Framework & Policy Guidelines

The first and most important website is the Official Indonesia eVisa website. Now, there are plenty of scam websites out there that are posing as the real deal. Let us be clear, the only place where you can independently apply for your eVisa for Indonesia is via the official website, which is: www.https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/.

Before we dive in deeper, we should highlight that the eVisa website, just like all official Indonesian government websites, displays a 403 Error if there is a VPN or ad-blocker running on your device.

A word to the wise, also, the  Official Indonesia eVisa website is best accessed on a desktop. While it is a mobile-friendly site, it can become problematic on mobile. 

It is possible to apply for a visa on arrival, actually on arrival at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, but since the online process is so straightforward, and helps cut queue time after touching down, we recommend getting your visa sorted prior to travel. 

Once on the Official Indonesia eVisa website, follow the steps on screen. The site is available in English, and there is a Live Chat option available for support, too.

Official Application Channels & Digital Verification

For most tourists traveling to Bali on vacation, the most appropriate visa is the eVisa on Arrival, though when you click the ‘Apply’ button on the home screen, travelers are asked a series of questions that help narrow down options and identify the best visa for their trip. 

The Official Indonesia eVisa website enables travellers to apply for the e-VOA for up to five people simultaneously. It is also possible to track your application, and this is the same website where visa extensions can be applied for, too.

It is highly advisable to apply for your e-VOA at least one week prior to travel to Bali. We suggest allowing two weeks in case there are any problems with your application, though applications can be submitted at the latest 48 hours before travel.   

The next most important website is the All Indonesia website, also available as a smartphone app. The All Indonesia website is where tourists create their digital arrival card, which is required for all incoming passengers to Indonesia. 

The All Indonesia process is also pretty straightforward and must be completed 72 hours prior to travel to Indonesia. Passengers must fill out forms with their personal information, travel details, mode of transportation, and address, and complete the customs declarations. Port-of-Entry Clearance & Autogate Protocols

The third website that is essential, and often overlooked, is the LoveBali website. This is where tourists can make their Bali Tourism Tax Levy payment.

Although the Bali Tourism Tax Levy has been in effect since February 2024, shockingly, less than 40% of eligible travelers pay their fee.

By eligible travelers, we mean all international tourists, who are set to reach 7.5 million people in 2026 alone. The Bali Tourism Tax Levy is a mandatory fee of IDR 150,000 per person.

Here at Regional Travel Monitors, we think it’s easier to make the payment on the LoveBali website a few days prior to traveling to Bali, that way tourists can save the QR-code voucher to their phones and have it ready if they are stopped for a spot check or asked to show it to immigration or tourism task force officers, which is rare but worth being prepared for!

What Visitors Should Expect

Securing visas or tourism levy vouchers via official government portals prior to departure expedites arrival clearance at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Always verify entry conditions through accredited channels to avoid third-party markups and ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
