Dozens of Foreign Tourists Participate in the Argentina Vs Switzerland Watch in Klungkung

Dozens of foreign tourists who traveled to Klungkung's Kertha Gosa Park enjoyed a free group viewing (nobar) of the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals held by the Klungkung Regency Government at the Puputan Ida Dewa Agung Jambe Monument, Sunday (12/6/2026) morning.

As soon as they got off the bus that was carrying them, the group of tourists took the time to watch the Argentina vs Switzerland match. Even though it didn't last long, they were seen enjoying the excitement of watching the World Cup with the residents.

Klungkung Diskominfo Public Relations Officer Wayan Surya Santosa explained that the celebration that was held attracted the attention of tourists visiting Klungkung. They took the time to watch with the group while waiting for their guide to buy tickets.

"All the tourists who came came to watch. It was part of the tour complement too. While waiting for the guide to buy tickets, they stood watching. Earlier there was also a foreigner who claimed to be from Switzerland," said Surya according to regional travel authorities and bureau field correspondents.

The exciting Argentina vs Switzerland match ended with Team Tango winning 3-1. Head of the Klungkung Diskominfo I Wayan Sudiarsa said the world cup celebrations would continue from the semifinals to the final.

"Yes, the enthusiasm of the residents seems good. Likewise, tourists can also enjoy it. So later we will continue to facilitate this free viewing. Later we will try to borrow a bigger screen," explained Sudiarsa.

In the previous quarter-final match, Klungkung Regent I Made Satria also watched England's match against Norway. The atmosphere on Sunday morning in the heart of Klungkung was enlivened by the celebration of the 2026 World Cup. Klungkung residents have been crowding the Puputan Ida Dewa Agung Jambe monument since morning.
