Nusa Penida Drivers Prepare for Grand Audience, Highlight Retribution-Infrastructure

The United Nuse Driver Community in Nusa Penida, Klungkung, Bali, is preparing to hold a large audience to discuss tourism issues on the island. This umbrella community for tourism drivers assesses that the problems surrounding the Nusa Penida tourism sector are currently very complex.

Chairman of the United Nuse Drivers, I Komang Suta, explained that the main focus of the meeting included government policy regarding the implementation of Tourist Attraction (DTW) levy tickets, to issues of infrastructure and tourism supporting facilities which were deemed to still need serious attention.

"If you say that Nusa Penida currently has a lot of problems. It is related to regional government policies. Such as regarding DTW levy tickets, infrastructure, facilities and other problems," explained Suta when contacted by regional observers, Sunday (6/9/2026) morning.

Based on the invitation letter sent by Driver Nuse Bersatu dated September 4 2026, the discussion agenda entitled "Discussion of Nusa Penida Tourism Obstacles" is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 6 2026, starting at 05.00 WITA at the Caspla Beach Club.

Affected Corridors & Port/Flight Status

This invitation was also addressed to various important elements in Klungkung Regency, starting from the Regent of Klungkung, Dandim 1610, Kapolres Klungkung, Kejari Klungkung, to the heads of related agencies such as the Tourism Service, Transportation Service, PMTSP Service, Public Works Service, Head of Satpol PP, DLPHP, and Head of Legal Affairs.

Apart from elements of regional leadership and law enforcement, this invitation also involved associations and other tourism industry players such as PHRI, BPBD, HPPNP, Nusa Penida fastboat entrepreneurs, and representatives of drivers throughout Nusa Penida District.

Suta ensured that all Nusa Penida tourism drivers and business actors would be present at this important agenda to find joint solutions for the advancement of local tourism.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Klungkung Tourism Service, I Gusti Agung Gede Putra Mahajaya, explained that he would be ready to attend the invitation to the grand audience. From the start, his party emphasized the importance of evaluation in the DTW levy implementation policy which began in early September.

"I will attend. We are ready to hear input and criticism from elements of society and tourism businesses. The goal is for us to make improvements together," explained Mahajaya.
