Klungkung Regent I Made Satria expressed his desire to expel naughty tourists from Nusa Penida. Especially for those who come to cause trouble and often break the rules and ignore public order.

This wish will certainly come true after he is able to make Nusa Penida a quality tourist area. By providing quality tourism that is supported by adequate infrastructure and governance systems, said Satria, only then can he be selective in accepting tourist visits.

"Once we are able to make Nusa Penida a quality tourism area, of course we will be really selective in accepting tourists who come," said Satria to media crew in Nusa Penida, Tuesday (14/7/2026).

"Of course we will immediately deport naughty tourists. Coincidentally, we already have an Immigration Office in Klungkung. It's very easy for us to do that," he continued.

Furthermore, Satria explained the steps he had planned to make Nusa Penida a quality tourist destination. One of the things he has planned is to make Nusa Penida a green island and green tourism.

"We want tourism in Klungkung to be quality tourism. Not trivial like now. For this reason, our step is to make Nusa Penida a green island and green tourism by 2030," explained Satria.

This step has been initiated by starting to plan the use of electric vehicles, building supporting infrastructure, digitizing public services, and managing waste based on a circular economy.

"If everything is running, our tourism is quality, we will definitely be more selective. Tourists who are allowed to enter Nusa Penida are of course only quality tourists," he concluded.
