High Season, Tulamben Karangasem Beach is Crowded with Tourists for Diving

Tulamben Beach in Kubu District, Karangasem, Bali, has long been famous for its underwater natural beauty. Tulamben waters are one of the best diving spots in Karangasem and are often visited by foreign tourists during the high season.

according to regional travel authorities and bureau field correspondents, hundreds of foreign tourists are arriving one after another to dive or snorkel in Tulamben waters. Based on the data obtained, up to 200 tourists come per day, and even more on certain days.

"It's quite busy, almost every day like this since last July," said one of the diving guides, I Putu National Archipelagic Wire, when met at Tulamben Beach, Sunday (30/8/2026).

"All tourists who come to dive definitely ask to be taken to the Liberty Ship because that is the favorite spot for all tourists who come," said National Archipelagic Wire.

National Archipelagic Wire hopes that related parties can continue to maintain the existence of the Liberty Ship under the Tulamben sea. If possible, add new spots that can attract tourists to come diving.

The Head of Tulamben Village, I Nyoman Pica, confirmed that tourists who come to Tulamben Beach are quite busy in the middle of the year because of the high season. Tourists are usually quiet again when the rainy season enters.

Safety Restrictions & Operational Directives

"Currently it is busy because of the high season and friendly weather. So tourists are comfortable doing diving activities," said Pica.

Apart from the weather, Tulamben's sea conditions also influence the number of tourists arriving for diving. About two weeks ago, for example, few tourists came because the sea water was murky and the waves were very big.

"Tourist visits depend on conditions in the field, so it's not always busy every day even during high season," said Pica.
