According to Sugeng, Bali's high dependence on diesel power plants (PLTD) is one of the problems that needs to be addressed, including through the development of energy infrastructure such as the Bali LNG Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) in the Serangan area.

He emphasized that every effort to increase the reliability of electricity supply must be carried out carefully while still paying attention to the aspirations of the local community.

Apart from the energy aspect, Commission XII of the DPR RI also reviewed investment development in the Kura Kura Bali SEZ.

Deputy for Investment Implementation Control at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, Edy Junaidi, said that the area of ​​almost 500 hectares is projected to be able to absorb around 5,000 workers as part of developing quality investment.

Director of PT Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID) Tuti Hadiputranto said the development of the Bali Kura Kura KEK carries the concept of an integrated tourism destination that combines environmental preservation, culture and sustainable economic development.

He added that the area implemented various environmental conservation efforts, including planting around 700,000 tree seedlings, building seven retention lakes, using porous blocks to increase water absorption, and structuring underground electricity and telecommunications networks.
