This destination, which is usually called heaven above the clouds, was previously closed since July 20 2026 or almost two weeks due to heavy rain in the area.

"Tomorrow, August 1, it will reopen," said Chairman of the Wae Rebo Cultural Conservation Institute, Mikael Tonso, Friday (31/7/2026) evening.
Mikael said the weather in Wae Rebo was good. There is no more rain in the area.
Wae Rebo is at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level (masl). There are seven traditional houses that have become icons of this tourist village, namely the cone-shaped Mbaru Niang.
