National Archipelagic Wire displays 62 photos at the "Football Country" exhibition on Peninsula Island

Nusa Dua (National Archipelagic Wire) - National Archipelagic Wire Agency displays 62 single photos at the Journalistic Photography Exhibition entitled "Football Country: From the Village Field to the World Stage" on Peninsula Island, The Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, on 11-24 July 2026.

"This exhibition is a story of how a rolling ball can move, unite and give reasons to continue to nurture dreams towards the world stage," said Photo Curator Nyoman Budhiana on the sidelines of the opening of the journalistic photography exhibition in Nusa Dua, Saturday.

The outdoor exhibition was organized by Editorial Photos and National Archipelagic Wire Bureau Bali in collaboration with BUMN PT Indonesian Tourism Development (Persero) or Injourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) The Nusa Dua.

The senior photographer and photo editor detailed that there were 62 solo photographs and four story photographs created by 37 National Archipelagic Wire photojournalists from all over Indonesia which were exhibited in a unique layout resembling a football field, plus the backdrop of the Nusa Dua coast.

Through this exhibition, open to the public and free, the public can experience more closely the progress of Indonesian football, the spirit of sportsmanship, support sports tourism in the country, as well as entertain visitors including domestic and foreign tourists.

Visitors' eyes are invited to enjoy journalistic works through the lens shots of National Archipelagic Wire's professional photojournalists from time to time, starting from black and white photo collections from the 1970s to the current era.

The visual archive emphasizes that football is not just a sport, it has also given rise to a variety of unique cultural expressions in various regions, for example fire football uses burnt coconuts in traditional and religious celebrations.

Similar excitement also broke out on the streets, coastlines, and even in the mud of rice fields, through humorous matches on various village fields which are inclusive spaces for women's football and people with disabilities.

The exhibition also records a new chapter full of optimism for the Garuda Squad until the 2026 World Cup "fever" spreads across the country.

Meanwhile, the Director of Institutional Communications and Public Relations of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) Maroli J Indarto, who opened the exhibition, said that journalistic photos not only tell a story about a match, but also record the emotions, hopes and enthusiasm that become the nation's collective memory.
