Jakarta (National Archipelagic Wire) - The family drama film "Don't Throw Away Mother" produced by Leo Pictures managed to reach three million viewers on its 18th day in cinemas.

"As of the 18th day, more than 3,015,577 viewers have seen how Ristiana's mother struggles to maintain the integrity of her child," said producer and CEO of Leo Pictures Agung Saputra, in a press statement received in Jakarta, Monday.

The film "Don't Throw Away Mother" is also the second film from Leo Pictures which has successfully reached more than three million viewers, previously this achievement was achieved through the film "If Tomorrow Your Mother Is Not" (2024).

Actress Nirina Zubir, who plays the character Mrs. Ristiana as the main character in the film "Don't Throw Away Mother", also celebrated the achievement of three million viewers by running 20 kilometers.

"20 kilometers for 3 million viewers, thank you everyone who has supported this film. Next, 30 kilometers for 4 million viewers? But Nirina has to prepare physically first," said Nirina Zubir.

Previously, the film "Don't Throw Away Mother" from the start, this film started a gala premiere around Indonesia in 20 cities in Indonesia, ahead of its simultaneous screening in cinemas. All tickets in 20 cities were sold out, greeted with enthusiasm during the school holidays, and became the main choice for families in cinemas.

Directed by Hadrah Daeng Ratu and starring Refal Hady, Amanda Manopo, Dwi Sasono, Erika Carlina, Basmalah Gralind, and Mpok Atiek, the film "Don't Throw Away Mother" will also hold another roadshow with the cast and filmmakers in Jabodetabek and West Java.

The film "Don't Throw Away Mother" follows the story of Ristiana (Nirina Zubir), a single mother with her three children Tama (Refal Hady), Dewi (Amanda Manopo), and Tria (Saputra Kori) after her husband (Dwi Sasono) left her, living in simplicity and hard work but able to raise her children well in the face of the fact that her husband left behind such a large debt.
