Online payment protocol on the Love Bali portal

Make payment online 24-72 hours before international boarding to avoid any connection issues at the airport.

Exclusively use the official government gateway at lovebali.baliprov.go.id or the certified “Love Bali” app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Avoid unofficial third-party platforms that charge abusive commissions.

Required Documentation & Inputs:

• Full name and first names exactly identical to the optical reading area of the passport
• Alphanumeric passport number without spaces or special characters
• Valid email address to which the voucher with QR code will be sent
• Expected arrival date and flight number or ship name

Accepted Payment Channels:

• International bank cards: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express *Indonesian Standard QR Code (QRIS)
• Bank transfer via virtual account (Virtual Account)

Universal Applicability & Minor Policy: The tax applies to all foreign passport holders regardless of age; children and infants are not automatically exempt.

Verification on arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) and ports

After passing through customs and leaving the baggage claim area at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), report to the dedicated Love Bali counters located just before exiting the terminal.

Unannounced checks and fixed scanning stations are also in operation at the ports of Benoa, Sanur, Padangbai and the Gilimanuk ferry terminal for travelers arriving by sea.

Legal exemptions under Article 6 of Perda Regulation No. 6/2023

All categories of eligible non-citizens must submit an exemption application at lovebali.baliprov.go.id at least 30 days before their departure to Bali.

Statutory Exemption Categories:

• Indonesian citizens (WNI): Holders of an Indonesian National Identity Card (KTP) or an Indonesian passport are automatically exempt without online proceedings. (Documentation: KTP or valid Indonesian passport)
• Members of the diplomatic and consular corps: Accredited diplomats, consular officers and members of their immediate families stationed in Indonesia. (Documentation: Diplomatic visa, service passport or Ministry of Foreign Affairs accreditation card)
• Air and sea transport crews on duty: Airline pilots, cabin crew and flight officers providing regular connections to Bali. (Documentation: Official crew manifest and company professional card)
• KITAS & KITAP residence permit holders: Foreign nationals holding a valid temporary (KITAS) or permanent (KITAP) residence permit. (Documentation: Valid Electronic Residence Permit (ITAS/ITAP) issued by Indonesian Immigration)
• Family Reunification Visas: Foreign spouses and dependent children of Indonesian citizens entering under family reunification status. (Documentation: Visa E31A/E31B, legalized marriage certificate or family record book)
• Student visas (KITAS Pelajar): Foreign students regularly enrolled in an approved university or school in Bali. (Documentation: valid KITAS student (Index E30) and university registration certificate)
• Golden Visa and Second Home Visa: Leading international investors, global talents and retired residents under long-stay status. (Documentation: Certificate of granting of the Golden Visa (Index E28) or the Second Home visa)
