How do I extend my 30-day e-VOA online without visiting an immigration office?
Extensions can be processed 100% online through your account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id between Day 14 and Day 28 of your stay. Remit the IDR 500,000 statutory fee via credit card. There is zero requirement to visit immigration offices in Denpasar or Jimbaran for biometric scanning or photo capture.
Who is eligible to use the automated immigration gates (Autogate) at DPS Airport?
Foreign travelers holding a valid biometric electronic passport (e-passport) and an approved electronic visa (e-VOA Index B1 or e-Visa) are eligible. Children aged 14 and older can use the autogates independently. Families traveling with young children or non-chip passports should proceed to staffed manual inspection lanes.
How is the Love Bali IDR 150,000 tourist levy enforced and inspected?
The provincial tourism tax (Perda No. 6/2023) is verified at dedicated checkpoints in the DPS arrival hall immediately after customs baggage reclaim. Additionally, joint inspection teams from Disparda Bali and Satpol PP Pariwisata conduct random audits at popular cultural attractions, harbors, and star-rated hotels across the island.
What are the legal consequences and financial penalties for overstaying a visa in Bali?
Under Indonesian Immigration Law (UU No. 6/2011), the statutory overstay fine is exactly IDR 1,000,000 (~$65 USD) per person per day for overstays of less than 60 days, payable upon departure.
