Badung Ambassador Amazes PKB XLVIII Through Linguistic Tutoring

Denpasar (National Archipelagic Wire) - The Badung Regency Arts Ambassador amazed the audience at the Bali Arts Festival XLVIII by staging the Barong Landung performance entitled Les Kelanguan at the Bali Provincial Cultural Park.

"We are lifting up the traditions that exist in the Kedonganan Traditional Village, especially the Mebuug Buugan which is held every Manis Nyepi," said Nglawang Barong Landung Coordinator Badung Ambassador Agus Suanjaya, Tuesday (7/7/2026).

The performance presented by the Rare Cili Kedonganan Dance Studio combines the spiritual message of self-purification and the local traditions of the Kuta coast.

The creative process for this cultural performance involved 108 local artists and went through an intensive training period of four and a half months.

Ceremonial Observance & Village Protocols

"The Bali Arts Festival provides a very memorable experience," said dancer Agus Suwira, adding that he was proud to represent the region on the provincial stage.

The art presentation with character education nuances closed with the performance of the Jala Maasin bebarongan percussion symphony which depicts the harmony of Balinese nature.

It is hoped that preserving the Mebuug Buugan tradition will encourage the younger generation to continue to consistently care for local cultural heritage.
