Two International Events Put Nusa Dua at the Center of Bali's Tourism Weekend

NUSA DUA, Bali - September 26, 2026 - Fashion and motorcycling converged at The Nusa Dua this weekend as two international events took place simultaneously from September 24 to 26.
At Museum Pasifika, Bali International Fashion Week 2026 (BIFW) brought together designers, models and fashion professionals for three days of shows and networking. Nearby, BMW Motorrad Days Bali 2026 turned Peninsula Island into a gathering point for motorcycle enthusiasts with riding activities, exhibitions, entertainment and community programmes.
According to InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the operator of The Nusa Dua, the simultaneous events brought different visitor communities into the same resort destination.
Fashion returns to Nusa Dua
BIFW returned in 2026 after a four-year absence.
According to National Archipelagic Wire, this year's event featured 31 designers and more than 100 models from 15 countries. The programme ran from September 24 to 26 at Museum Pasifika.
Participants included designers from Indonesia and overseas, among them Bench Bello from the Philippines, Elena Murzina from Russia, Tjokorda Gde Abinanda Sukawati and Inggi Kendran.
The event combined contemporary fashion with Indonesian and Balinese cultural references, positioning Nusa Dua as a meeting point between the local creative industry and international fashion networks.
ITDC said the event targeted approximately 202 visitors per day.
BMW riders gather at Peninsula Island
While the fashion programme occupied Museum Pasifika, BMW Motorrad Days Bali 2026 attracted a different international audience at Peninsula Island.
The programme began with the Mystical Ride on September 24 before the main festival continued on September 25 and 26.
Activities included motorcycle test rides, custom-bike displays, entertainment, cultural performances and community gatherings.
ITDC said the event targeted more than 1,500 domestic riders and visitors and 500 international riders and visitors.
The figures highlight the scale of the motorcycle gathering and its potential contribution to hotels, restaurants, transportation and other businesses around the destination.
Two audiences, one destination
The two events had little in common in terms of subject matter, yet they shared the same tourism infrastructure.
Fashion professionals arrived for runway shows and industry networking. Motorcycle enthusiasts travelled to participate in rides and meet other members of the BMW community.
That diversity is part of Nusa Dua's established role as an event destination.
I Made Agus Dwiatmika, General Manager of The Nusa Dua, said events can stimulate interaction between visitors, communities, tourism businesses and the creative sector.
Rather than depending on a single type of visitor, the destination's event calendar allows different groups to arrive with distinct reasons for travelling to Bali.
A purpose-built event destination
The weekend's programme took place within a resort complex that combines accommodation, convention facilities and event venues.
ITDC says The Nusa Dua has 19 starred hotels and approximately 5,000 rooms, alongside facilities designed to accommodate major international events.
That infrastructure has made the area one of Bali's established locations for conferences, exhibitions, cultural programmes and large-scale gatherings.
The September 24-26 programme demonstrated how that infrastructure can support two international events at once, with different audiences occupying different venues across the same destination.
For visitors, the result was a weekend in which fashion and motorcycles became parallel reasons to travel to Nusa Dua, adding another layer to Bali's already diverse event calendar.
